MANILA – Miles Ocampo, who has worked with John Lloyd Cruz in many movies and on “Home Sweetie Home,” was asked to comment on reports that the actor is set to make his showbiz comeback.The topic was brought up after Ocampo said that the ABS-CBN sitcom is currently being reformatted since Piolo Pascual will be taking a leave to study abroad.“[May mga nagco-comment nga na ganun eh], na nag-give way si Piolo. Sabi ko hindi naman kasi wala pa naman kaming nababalitaan na ganun,” she told ABS-CBN News in an interview on Tuesday.Ocampo, however, said she remains in touch with Cruz, adding that his fans have nothing to worry about.“Nakakausap ko naman si kuya Lloydie pero hindi kasi ako nagtatanong ng anything related sa trabaho kasi nahihiya ako. Pero nagkakamustahan kami, okay naman. Masaya naman siya,” she said.Cruz took an indefinite leave of absence from showbiz in October 2017 to attend to &quot;personal matters.&quot;While she could not confirm if Cruz will be back on “Home Sweetie Home,” Ocampo teased that there will be new characters to be added on the show.“Nagre-reformat &#x27;yung show namin. May mga bagong papasok sa pamilya namin. Naisip ko rin na magandang project ito for me to experiment and to grow as an actor,” she said.“Maledicto” stars Tom Rodriguez as Father Xavi, a former psychologist who becomes a skeptical exorcist following the tragic death of his sister, Mara (Inah de Belen). He meets Sister Barbie (Jasmine Curtis-Smith), a young nun who has the gift of charism. Together, they face the case of Agnes (Ocampo), a seemingly perfect teenager who starts manifesting demonic behavior that rocks the foundations of the church. When asked if she had second thoughts about accepting her role, Ocampo quickly said: “Meron!” “Matatakutin po kasi akong tao so nung sinabi sa akin na exorcism siya, nagdalawang-isip ako. Hindi ako ganun ka-confident, baka hindi ko siya magawa nang maayos. Pero I’ve been wanting to do something out of my comfort zone and nasanay kasi &#x27;yung mga tao sa ‘Goin Bulilit’ and pa-sweet lang. With Agnes kasi, napakita niya at nabigay lahat ng emosyon na kailangan dahil exorcism,” she explained.Although this is her first time to do a movie like this, Ocampo said she kept herself from watching other movies of the same genre.“&#x27;Yung utak ko, isolated ako doon sa mga horror specials na napapanood ko lang sa TV kapag may sinasapian. &#x27;Yun ang ginawa ko. Directed by Mark Meily, “Maledicto” will open in cinemas nationwide on May 1.
