'It has been 9 years': Brother of AJ Perez dedicates college graduation to late actor

<p>MANILA — Since the 2011 death of actor AJ Perez, his younger brother, Angello, has dedicated all his achievements to his late &quot;kuya.&quot;</p><p>This was Angello&#x27;s revelation as he once again dedicated another milestone to AJ, this time his college graduation from Ateneo de Manila University.</p><p>In fact, Angello&#x27;s graduation photo shows him holding AJ&#x27;s own high school graduation photo.</p><p>AJ died aged 18 in a 2011 road crash. He would have turned 27 last February 17.</p><p>&quot;[It has been] nine years since you left, but I&#x27;ve always made it a point to dedicate all my accomplishments to you,&quot; Angello wrote on Friday, addressing his late brother.</p><div><script src="https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&amp;version=v2.5" async="" type="text/javascript"></script></div><div class="fb-post" data-href="https://www.facebook.com/angello.perez.92/posts/3187408161270647" data-width="auto"> </div><p>&quot;You would have been a college graduate by now. This year, I&#x27;d like to believe that we are graduating together and I will be thinking of you when I receive that diploma. Thank you for always being my inspiration,&quot; he said.</p><p>Angello&#x27;s message went viral on Facebook on Friday afternoon, with some 50,000 reactions and over a thousand comments congratulating him, as well as sharing prayers for AJ.</p><p>Angello belongs to a batch of graduates whose ceremonies have been <a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/04/13/20/graduation-rites-postponed-until-lockdown-ends-not-cancelled-deped">postponed </a>amid the coronavirus quarantine, which was recently extended until April 30.</p>
