MANILA -- While Roberto (Ruben Maria Soriquez) is in a state of coma, Luciana (Cherrie Gil) takes the chance to brainwash Serena (Liza Soberano).

Roberto's heart failed to function when he found out about Serena's accident. It turns out that he has been suffering from heart problems, but chose to ignore and hide it from his family.

That day Serena was rushed to the hospital, Roberto just passed out. Heartbreak triggered his worsening health condition.

The news was heart-breaking for Serena, especially because she barely recognized her own father. Even her memories of him were taken away by amnesia.

"He is the love of my life. The only person who loved me for what I am. He is your father, Serena," Luciana said.

That moment, Serena immediately broke into tears. She blamed herself for his father's condition. But this sort of thinking was immediately shuttered by Luciana.

"We sent you to the Philippines, that was the biggest mistake of our lives," she said.

Luciana continued telling Serena of how her trip to the Philippines has been such a nightmare. The young girl lost her memory of Tenten (Enrique Gil) and everything that happened between them.

Little by little, Luciana is making Serena believe that she is "very smart" and "brave" so much so that she would do everything for their family, such as marrying her best friend who could save their business from bankruptcy.
