Janella excited to work with Maricel Soriano in horror movie

MANILA – Janella Salvador is more than thrilled to be starring in a movie with veteran actress Maricel Soriano.The two will headline the upcoming horror flick “The Heiress” to be produced by Regal Films.“I’m super excited to work on it kasi I’m gonna get to work with Ms. Maricel Soriano,” Salvador told ABS-CBN News.Speaking of her role in the film, Salvador narrated: “Kasi siya (Soriano) &#x27;yung mambabarang tapos ako &#x27;yung pamangkin niya. Ipapasa niya sa akin yung pagiging mambabarang niya.”In Philippine mythology, a “barang” or “mambabarang” is a witch who uses magic or sorcery. Salvador, however, is hoping that Soriano would be patient with her – something which the veteran actress said wouldn’t be a problem.“Alam mo namang wala akong babae ‘di ba? Kaya kapag nakakakita ako ng mga batang babae tapos mababait, natutuwa ako sa kanila,” Soriano said. “Gustong gusto kong gina-guide &#x27;yung mga artista na nagpapa-guide.”Apart from their roles, Soriano also gave a slight detail about the film’s storyline.“Actually mas powerful siya (Salvador) kaysa sa akin but she doesn’t know. May twist pa iyon, kung anong gagawin niya sa akin after all these years na inalagaan ko siya, na grinoom ko siya. Sa akin siya lumaki kaya sobrang hurt ako,” she said.The two are hoping the movie will get a Christmas Day release as an entry to this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival.
