Wedding disaster as both Jodi characters show up in 'Sana Dalawa ang Puso'

"Sana Dalawa ang Puso" hit a series climax on Thursday as the truth about the switching identical strangers finally unraveled, at no less than the wedding day teased since the show's debut three months ago.

Short of exchanging vows with Martin (Richard Yap), a guilty Mona once and for all shed her disguise as Lisa, who had hired her to take her place, while she set out to find a business deal to escape the arranged marriage.

Lisa came back too late, however -- her plan was to stop the wedding before it happened -- and was forced to explain, in front of her and Martin's families, what happened and just who exactly the woman was at the altar.

The revelation, as expected, resulted in the most dramatic episode yet of the series, originally billed as a romantic-comedy. A hurt Martin dashed out of the church, with a tearful Mona running after him. Lisa, despite apologizing to Juancho (Christopher de Leon), her father, was once again at the receiving end of the latter's violent temper.

Miguel (Boboy Garovillo), Martin's father, appeared to nearly suffer a stroke, while Mona's parents, Ramon (Edgar Mortiz) and Lena (Alma Moreno), were shocked by the confirmation that the Lisa they'd known up until the wedding day, was actually their daughter in disguise.

Anguished by the bitter turn of events, Martin was unforgiving towards Mona, who professed her love for him as herself, and not Lisa. He would not have it, however, and delivered a heartbreaking line that had viewers sympathizing for Mona on social media --

"Ano'ng gusto mo sabihin ko, na mahal din kita? Hindi ikaw ang mahal ko. Hindi ikaw ang minahal ko, Mona. 'Yung pinakita ko sa 'yo -- sampung taon na pagmamahal ko kay Lisa!"

With the central premise of "Sana Dalawa ang Puso" untangling, still to be seen are the resolutions to bigger conflicts now on the table, among them Lisa's newfound flame in Leo (Robin Padilla), Miguel's decision to cancel the merger with Juancho's company, and Mona's heartbreak now being the subject of Martin's scorn.
