MANILA -- They wrote a song, and got quite a bit of attention back in 2015, honoring Manny Pacquiao and the way the boxing legend made the whole country stop whenever he stepped inside ring, and how Filipinos cheered every punch he threw in his fights.

One Friday, the uncle-nephew tandem from Isabela, The Four Decade Duo, is back with another composition --this time, in support of another cultural icon, ABS-CBN.

The song, titled "Babalik," is a rather hopeful plea to bring back the Kapamilya network on air, with lyrics that go: "Kapamilya’y muling makikipag-damayan, babalik, babalik sa bawat tahanan."

The song also incorporates a part of the ABS-CBN theme song, and asked detractors to set aside their misgivings and weigh the positives the network affords ordinary Filipinos against it.

The Four Decade Duo, who has nearly 150,000 subscribers on YouTube alone, are also known for their Ilokano songs.

Their song came a few days following the order to take ABS-CBN off air after its franchise over its free channels expired.
