MANILA - All-male dance group Mastermind drew loud cheers when they incorporated the viral "Running Man Challenge" in their performance for the grand finals of "Pilipinas Got Talent" held Saturday at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

The judges, actress Angel Locsin, former ABS-CBN president Freddie M. Garcia, action star Robin Padilla, and comedian Vice Ganda heaped praise on the group from Borongan, Easter Samar for their "simple yet sexy" act.

"You are the masters of your craft. Itong pinakita niyo sa akin, bawat style na ginawa ninyo, pinaramdaman ninyo sa akin na ang galing, galing ninyo," said Padilla of the performance that featured the dance craze set to Ghost Town DJ's "My Boo."

"Alam mo kakaibang talent iyon ah, sa pamamagitan ng mga simpleng galaw ay napapaibig mo ang mga tao. That was cute, that was so entertaining, nasungkit niyo ang puso ko. Hindi lang ako sigurado kung sapat ba iyon para masungkit ninyo ang grand prize," Vice Ganda added.

"Mastermind, kung cuteness at appeal o sexiness sa sayaw, sa inyo iyon. But sa akin lang, kung ikukumpara ko kayo sa iba pang contestants, kayo ba ang karapat-dapat maguwi ng P2 million? Doon ako nagiisip pa," Locsin furthered.

Mastermind is one of 12 finalists competing for P2 million grand prize. He is up against Next Option, Crossover Family, Sto. Tomas Bulilit Generation, Ody Sto. Domingo, and The Amazing Pyra.

Power Duo, UA Mindanao, The Chosen Ones, Dino Splendid Acrobats, Kurt Philip Espiritu, and Power Impact Dancers are also part of the grand finalis.

The act with the highest combined scores from the judges (50%) and public votes (50%) will be proclaimed as the grand champion of the fifth season of "Pilipinas Got Talent" on Sunday.
