MANILA – Kim Chiu has managed to turn the tables after bouncing back from a dark chapter with a new viral hit.

On Instagram, Chiu shared that her new song "Bawal Lumabas" recorded more than 10 million views across all social media platforms in one day.

The song is drawn from a viral statement of Chiu in defense of her embattled home network ABS-CBN, which was then used to ridicule her for what she admitted was a poorly worded analogy with classroom rules.

The incessant mudslinging, she said, was one of the "lowest points in my life," and even led her to retreat from social media altogether.

According to Chiu, she learned a lot during this ordeal and one of them is accepting that she made a mistake.

She said it also taught her courage and kindness in dealing with her bashers.

Lastly, Chiu said this incident made her faith stronger.

“Tiwala sa Panginoon na kahit anong mangyari, hinding-hindi ka Niya pababayaan. Kutyain ka man ng lahat, 'wag mo lang itigil ang pagdadasal,” she said.

Still reeling from the millions of views that her song got, Chiu announced that "Bawal Lumabas" will be officially released in all digital platforms on Monday.

She said the track will soon be available on Spotify, iTunes, Amazon, Apple Music, YouTube and Deezer.
