musical.</p><p>That’s why many of her followers may consider it a treat to see the comedienne in the digital short film “Napaano Ka Arna” which is one of the three winners of Lights Camera Magic (LCM), Star Magic’s first ever video-making competition.</p><p>“Bilang artista, umabot na ako sa punto na walang maliit o malaking pelikula,” Pokwang said during LCM’s celebrity screening on Sunday.</p><p>Rather than looking at the talent fee, Pokwang said she accepts a project – big or small -- based on its story.</p><p>“Kapag nakita mo na ang ganda ng kuwento, alam mong marami kang magigising na tao [tanggapin mo]. Lumabas ka sa kahon bilang artista,” she said.</p><p>“Napaano Ka Arna” tackles the story of 21-year old Arna Carlos. Together with her mom Fides, they have been fending for themselves since she was little without any help from her father nor any of their relatives.</p><p>Later in the movie, her mom gets diagnosed with cancer forcing her to put off college to be able to help financially. Worried for her mother’s life, Arna does the unthinkable.</p><p>Directed by Patricia Ann Rivera, “Napaano Ka Arna” also stars Zeus Collins and the creator herself.</p><p>“Isang buong araw po kami nag-shoot. Masayang masaya po ako dahil napasama ako sa project na ito. Hindi lang sayaw ang ipapakita namin dito kundi isang magandang kuwento,” Collins said.</p><p>Rivera was mentored by director Victor Villanueva who helmed “Kusina Kings” and “Patay na si Hesus.”</p><p>Still in celebration of Star Magic’s 27th anniversary, LCM is the talent management arm’s effort to tap the continuously growing digital content creation scene.</p><p>The other two short films which won in the first LCM are “Ngawa” starring Myrtle Sarrosa and Luis Hontiveros, and “Viral Kids” headlined by Ashley Sarmiento, Josh de Guzman, Kenken Nuyad, Krystle Campos, Annika Cidro and Soliman Cruz.</p>
