MANILA — Amid rumors of "JoshLia" parting ways in real life, Julia Barretto has revealed finding "peace" notably without mention of her onscreen partner, while Joshua Garcia has remained tight-lipped — until Tuesday.

On Twitter, the former "Pinoy Big Brother" housemate had cryptic words, just days after the release of a 25-minute vlog where Barretto spoke candidly on trust, heartbreak, and marriage, among others, with fellow actress Erich Gonzales.

The timing of the statement, seen by Garcia's nearly 1.7 million followers, triggered speculation as to whether it was meant to be a response to Barretto's apparent hints of being single anew.

Some 200 replies to the tweet were notably a mix of fans lamenting the rumored separation, and others assuring Garcia of their support going forward, sans the "Lia" part of his popular tandem with Barretto.

Barretto and Garcia's respective comments in the wake of their rumored breakup are a stark contrast to previous times they had been reported to be on the rocks.

When a controversy involving Garcia's private message to a different woman erupted, the couple had a joint interview confirming that while the episode affected their relationship, they were intent on fixing it.

Numerous times on Twitter, the two would exchange sweet comments, to the delight of fans, whenever speculation of a rough patch arose.

This time around, loyal fans of "JoshLia" appear to find comfort in a circulating photo from actress Dimples Romana, showing "Block Z" stars, including the couple, enjoying dinner with their director Mikhail Red.

"Block Z," a zombie apocalypse film from Star Cinema, will mark the fifth big-screen outing featuring Garcia and Barretto since their tandem's 2016 breakout.
