She once dreamed of becoming a best-selling music artist, releasing two albums: one filled with novelty songs while the other saw her foray into electronic dance music. But despite her efforts, Ai Ai delas Alas never really achieved her lofty ambitions.

Now, she's hoping that she can vicariously live it out through Ex Battalion, the highly popular hip-hop group best known for their viral hit, "Hayaan Mo Sila." She's now acting as their manager.

In a press conference, as recorded by Push, Delas Alas recounted how their unlikely pairing came to be.

She shared that she first caught wind of the group while she was shooting a comedy TV show for another network early this year.

Impressed, she called them up and offered to become their manager. With her experience in the industry, she assured the newcomers that she can help them settle in.

"Galing silang undergound. Itong lahat ng nangyayari sa buhay nila, lahat ito bago sa kanila," she said. "Nahihilo silang lahat. So bilang nanay, iginu-guide ko sila."

Delas Alas co-manages Ex Battalion with Viva Entertainment, who will be handling most of things concerning the group's TV appearances, movie deals, and commercials.

Ex Battalion first rose to fame after they released "Hayaan Mo Sila," the music video for which has amassed over 55 million views on YouTube alone. Their other song, "SouthBoys," has nearly 19 million.

They have since appeared in numerous TV shows, and performed at the recently concluded MYX Music Awards 2018.
