"It's Showtime" host Vice Ganda on Thursday distanced himself from a question he was tasked to read during the program's "Miss Q&A" segment, as it pertained to a controversial feud between his close friend, actress Kris Aquino, and Palace communications official Mocha Uson.

Before Vice Ganda read the randomly drawn question, he asked the contestant, Cunnie Reyes, whether she is updated with current events and happenings on social media. Reyes replied in the affirmative.

The question came a day after the heated exchange between Aquino and Uson, who posted a clip that showed Aquino's late father, slain former senator Ninoy Aquino, getting a kiss from two women, following a controversy surrounding President Rodrigo Duterte's kiss with a married Filipina during his recent trip to South Korea.

Uson ultimately refused to apologize to Aquino, despite the urging of President Duterte through Special Assistant to the President Bong Go.

Aquino, who is gearing up for a big-screen comeback, has shared the screen numerous times with Vice Ganda, whom she endearingly calls "asawa." Notably, the two starred in the top-grossing "Sisterakas" movie, along with comedienne Ai Ai delas Alas, in 2012.

On Thursday, Reyes, the Miss Q&A contestant who got the question referencing Aquino's feud with Uson, managed to advance to the final round. Ultimately, however, she lost to the defending queen Lars Pacheco.
