Cristine Reyes struggled to hide her disappointment after she lost the "I Can Do That" title to comedian Wacky Kiray.

"Honestly, ang goal ko talaga ay manalo," the actress acknowledged on "Tonight with Boy Abunda" on Friday. "Nag-expect talaga ako. ...I was heartbroken."

Kiray, who brought to the grand finals stage a chilling high-wire balancing act, edged out Reyes to nab first place in the celebrity talent competition, garnering a score of 93.75%.

Reyes performed a fire dance for a score of 83.09%, more than 10 percentage points behind but good enough for second place ahead of other finalists Gab Valenciano and Daniel Matsunaga.

In her interview on the late night talk show, Reyes emphasized that while she feels down over the result, she does not think of Kiray as an undeserving champion. "Alam namin pareho na deserving kung sino man ang mananalo," she said.

According to Reyes, her competitive spirit stems from her desire to give her best in everything that she does. "Ganoon po talaga ako mag-commit. Kapag may pinasok ako ng isang bagay, kapag sinabi kong ko-commit ako dito, I'll do it."

Kiray, who was seated beside Reyes for the interview, echoed what the "Tubig at Langis" star has been saying and explained that both of them deserved to win.

He added that he respects the opinion of those arguing otherwise:
"Kapag nababasa ko po iyong mga iyon, nasasaktan ako pero opinyon nila iyon kaya OK lang. Marami naman po ang nagmamahal sa akin."
