Actor Diego Loyzaga is denying accusations by a TNVS driver, identified as John Ronnel Paglalunan, that he attacked his car while drunk.

Diego Loyzaga has come out to defend his character, which has been questioned by critics and his followers on social media due to allegations that he attacked a car while drunk.

The actor called out the TNVS (transport network vehicle service) driver for perpetuating a "lie" after the driver reported Loyzaga to the police and claimed to have caught his allegedly violent outburst on camera.

Loyzaga denied that he needlessly stepped out of his vehicle following the road incident, and argued that he only wanted to talk to the driver. He argued that he exhibited "normal" behavior when he angrily confronted the driver for almost hitting their vehicle.

"I did that because nang-trip ako? That's a lie. There was a lot more to the story than just that. I wanted to clear that up because all I've been getting is hate from everybody," he said in an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN News' MJ Felipe.

He narrated that he was on his way home from a party in Clark, Pampanga and that he was asleep when the near-crash occurred around the Taft area. It was caused by the TNVS driver, who made a sharp turn sending their own vehicle onto the sidewalk, Loyzaga said.

He added that the incident did not cause any damage to both cars, citing a police present, contrary to the claim by the TNVS driver. In a report aired by "TV Patrol," Loyzaga was accused of attacking the car while drunk, causing damage to the bumper.

Asked if he did kick the car, Loyzaga replied: "Ganito na lang, why wouldn't he get down from his car kung wala naman siyang kasalanan? And kung nandoon naman iyong police?"

"It's impossible na he could say na he felt threatened by me kasi may police present that could stop it."

Loyzaga also criticized the driver for leaving out the part that happened before he stepped out of his vehicle in his side of the story. "Bakit hindi nai-kuwento ng driver na nagkaroon ng aksidente? . . . It's being blown out of proportion," he said.

Loyzaga said he has largely been getting flak because of the fresh accusations, which he explained is influenced by his past.

"My past hasn't been all that great. I've had troubles in my past. But just because someone screwed up in the past, it doesn't make them the bad person forever," he said.

Loyzaga said that "everyone jumped the gun" without hearing his side first and were quick to accuse him of being "mayabang," a drug addict, or a "sira-ulo."

His statement came a day after the said news report aired, where the TNVS driver, identified as John Ronnel Paglalunan, alleged that Loyzaga was drunk when he attacked his car.

According to Loyzaga, he has gotten in touch with the owner of the vehicle, who told him that she was willing to retract her accusations made on social media if proven that the accident was caused by her driver.
