Shiela Reyes, ABS-CBN News</figcaption></figure></div>MANILA – After two years, “The Voice of the Philippines” is coming back to television for the fourth season of its kids’ edition.It will mark the return of the show’s three original coaches, Sarah Geronimo, Lea Salonga and Bamboo Manalac, who are elated to be reunited with each other.“It’s good to be back. I missed the show. I miss everybody. I miss the coaches and the whole &#x27;Voice&#x27; family,” Manalac gushed in an interview with reporters on Wednesday.According to Salonga, all three of them have been together across many seasons that they just enjoy their natural rapport.“It’s been such a fun blind audition process. We’ve all had such a good time. Because we’ve been doing this for so long, we know each other so much better than we did when we first started. It’s such much fun,” she said.When asked what viewers could expect from this new season, Geronimo said: “Amazing talents talaga. Kaabang-abang dahil nakaka-surprise until now kung gaano ka-talented ang kabataang Pinoy.”Salonga echoed this sentiment. “For us, ang inaasahan namin is for the audiences to get to know and fall in love with these talented children. They got themselves on the show because magagaling lang sila kumanta. That’s why we turned one of us, two of us, three of us,” she said.Aside from this, Salonga is hoping the show’s fans could get a feeling of who the kids are as human beings and connect to them when they learn a little bit of their life story.But what makes a kids’ season special, Manalac said, is the fact that they don’t always know what the contestant could bring to the table.“Kapag bata, we don’t know. Hindi namin alam kung anong ibibigay ng bata sa amin. Everything is unexpected,” he said.Will Geronimo be less emotional now when dealing with kids?“Hindi ko po masasagot iyan. Mahirap sagutin,” she said while flashing a huge smile on her face.Meanwhile, Manalac clarified a misconception when he looks for recruits that would make up his team.“Hindi [parating kailangan rakista]. &#x27;Yun nga ang parating naiisip ng mga bata pero hindi &#x27;yun [requirement for me]. It’s always a cliché pero basta we connected lang and we hear something special, that’s it. Lahat naman kami nakikinig sa iba’t ibang music whether rock, jazz, pop,” he said.Throughout the first three seasons of “The Voice Kids,” Geronimo, Salonga and Manalac have each produced winners from their respective teams.Lyca Gairanod from Team Sarah won the first season, while Elha Nympha from Team Bamboo took home the grand title for the second season. Salonga’s ward Joshua Oliveros, on the other hand, was hailed the champion in its third season.Apart from the winners, the show has also produced talents who now have successful careers such as Darren Espanto, JK Labajo, Kyle Echarri, Esang de Torres, Sassa Dagdag, Sam Shoaf and many more.These kids’ respective feats leave their former coaches beaming with pride.“We are so proud of all of them. Talagang each one of them, may mark na sa industriyang ito like sila Darren,” said Geronimo who’s been the “winningest coach” on the show.“What do you think I feel? Maski nga hindi ko ka-team, if they find success in what they love to do, hands off. I am very happy for them. I am very proud of [JK also]. It’s a beautiful song, one of the best songs last year,” Manalac added.The fourth season of “The Voice Kids” promises a lot of surprises and auditionees from past seasons who are giving their dream another shot.It will replace “Idol Philippines&quot; in its weekend timeslot later this year.Across all the seasons and editions of “The Voice of The Philippines,” Geronimo has the most number of winners, despite having missed the third season of “The Voice Kids.” Aside from Gairanod, Geronimo also won “The Voice of the Philippines” season 2 with Jason Dy, and “The Voice Teens” with Jona Soquite.
