MANILA - “Make It With You” was one of the ABS-CBN programs that had been discontinued in mid-March due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Its lead star Liza Soberano said in early June her "weak immune system" is one of the reasons behind the cancellation.

After consulting with her family, managers and the “Make It With You” team, Soberano said they all agreed that it might be best not to continue with the series anymore.

She then apologized to viewers for not being able to give them the ending they deserve.

But if it were up to her and Enrique Gil, they already have a story in mind on how their characters Billie and Gab would end up.

Speaking during the Facebook Live broadcast of Star Magic’s “Love from Home” series on Saturday, Soberano said she would definitely give the two main characters the ending that they've always wanted.

“Kasi si Billie at si Gabo, simple lang talaga silang tao. Even though both of them are big dreamers, ang main goal lang naman nila is to live a simple life with their family. Iyon iyong ibibigay ko sa kanila,” she said.

“Siguro nakatira na lang sila sa province and meron lang siguro silang one bakery, like a family bakery that they will pass down to generations,” she added.

Gil agreed with Soberano, saying Gabo would probably settle for just having enough as long as it’s with Billie.

“Si Gabo, may-ari sila ng malaking kumpanya but I think he's willing to give that all away and just work on something that's just enough and something that will make him happy. I think 'yun ang gusto niya,” he said.

Produced by Star Creatives, "Make It With You" is Soberano and Gil’s fourth series together.

It premiered in January 2020, and was the consistent No. 1 program in its time slot, according to Kantar Media. Among scripted dramas, it was only second to the phenomenal "FPJ's Ang Probinsyano" in nationwide ratings.
