He’s a nice guy. She’s in safe hands,” he said. “&#x27;Yung offer as Coco Martin’s leading lady in ‘Panday’ is an offer you cannot refuse.”</p><p>Having been in show business for so long, Christopher doesn’t see any reason why he should hinder Mariel’s decision to try acting.</p><p>“Medyo apprehensive siya when it comes to her acting career but sabi nga ng one of my friends kanina, even my mom said, ‘Nanggaling sa pelikula, television at entertainment business ang pinakain mo diyan. It’s in her blood, so why not?’” he said.</p><p>Asked how Mariel was convinced to do “Ang Panday,” Christopher shared: “This is a big offer. This is not just one of those run-of-the-mill things.”</p><p>Hoping his daughter would succeed, Christopher said he and his wife, actress Sandy Andolong, are always giving Mariel some acting tips.</p><p>“Ang mother niya laging sinasabi sa kanya, ‘You always respect the views of others.’ Ako naman, in all of her victories, just stay humble. Humility in victory in short. We’ve been talking to her about how to place herself in front of two cameras, three cameras, tips like how to deliver your lines, to use your eyes, stuff like that,” he said.</p><p>Christopher said Mariel is very excited to start working on “Ang Panday” with her first shooting day scheduled sometime this month.</p>
