MANILA – Sofia Andres and Diego Loyzaga would definitely make a cute couple but the actress clarified that they are not yet in any romantic relationship.

Andres said she and Loyzaga are just really close friends who enjoy each other’s company.

“We go out, bonding lang. Hindi siya dating. We just like each other’s company, and kasi we have serye this year. Basta I just like to be with him,” she said.

Pointing out that she only keeps a small circle of friends, Andres said Loyzaga would qualify as her closest male friend as of the moment.

“Siya 'yung tina-trust ko now sa mga boys kasi I’m not really mabarkada… I wouldn’t deny [na siya 'yung closest] kasi nakalagay naman sa Instagram,” she said.

Does she think Loyzaga is courting her? “No naman, wala pang formality,” she quickly answered.

The actress said they haven’t also reached the point where they exchange “I love you’s.”

Meanwhile, Andres doesn’t seem bothered when asked about Loyzaga’s recent Snapchat post showing Nadine Lustre’s photo.

Andres said Loyzaga has a long-time crush on Lustre and she knows about it since they first met.

“Hindi naman po [ako nagselos]. That’s normal. Ako, may crush din ako. He knows naman. Maybe type niya talaga si ate Nadine [that’s why he posted her picture]. She’s pretty naman talaga, morena, Filipina beauty,” she said.

While Andres and Loyzaga are not officially a couple yet, the actress shared that their term of endearment is “bub” which means “special someone.”
