"Parang nabola ko yata ang Star Music. I am so happy that they took a gamble or a risk, they trusted me with the music. Kasi noong nag-usap na kami, pinarinig ko sa kanila 'yung music, 'yun ang pinakanakakanerbiyos when you're a singer-songwriter. Kapag hindi nila nagustuhan, wala. So I'm so happy that they instantly fell in love with the songs and they said, 'let's do it,'" he shared.

"It's such an honor for me to work with them. Ang ganda ng feeling kapag naririnig mo 'yung musika mo na binibigyan nila ng pangalawang buhay after writing it. Para akong nasa langit. Para kang dinuduyan ng orchestra, especially when the orchestra is being conducted by Gerard Salonga. Ang sarap," he said.

"It is a medley that we've done years ago. It was her concert, I remember, and I was a guest. This must have been 15 or 16 years ago. We dug up the old medley and sabi ko, 'We should do this again and record it.' Kasama nga doon 'yung 'Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw,' 'Pangako' and 'Hanggang Ngayon.' Those are very special duets that we have," he said.
