MANILA - Actor Coco Martin wants to do a remake of the 1996 action movie "Utol," which starred Cesar Montano and Victor Neri.

In an interview on Wednesday night, the "Ang Probinsyano" star told reporters that he hopes to do a movie with his idol, Montano, who recently joined the cast of the hit primetime series.

'Eh di gawin natin,' sabi niya," Martin shared.

Martin actually is looking more than just that one film since he hopes to revive the action genre in general.

"Sana itong positive na nangyayari sa 'Ang Probinsyano,' I'm sure magtutulong-tulong 'yan para muling mabuhay (ang action films) at para mas marami po tayong madadagdag na trabaho," Martin said.

The actor also thanked Montano for agreeing to do "Ang Probinsyano."

"'Yung unang eksena namin, honestly nanginginig ako kasi sobra ko po talaga siyang hinahangaan as an actor.

"Ang Probinsyano" airs weeknights after TV Patrol.
