'I thought my life was over': Sandara recalls pain of first breakup

MANILA - Sandara Park admitted she felt her life was "over" when she and her first boyfriend broke up.

The former 2NE1 member, who did not identify her ex, recalled the pain of the breakup in an interview on a Korean show, which was translated in an article published on Koreaboo on Thursday.

Park was quoted to have said: "I thought my life was over when I broke up because that was my first relationship."

The pop star also shared that she once caused production delays for a show because she "couldn't stop crying" after they had parted ways, suggesting that she was in the relationship while she was working as an actress.

Park's only publicly known relationship was with actor Joseph Bitangcol, whom she dated before she returned to South Korea to pursue a career as a singer.

The two met during the first season of ABS-CBN's Star Circle Quest, where they were both contestants.

In the same translated interview, Park said she got revenge for the heartbreak by selling all the gifts she received from her ex, and using the money to go on a vacation with friends.

"After wrapping things up and getting my emotions back in check, I decided to sell all the gifts I received from him... You have to take revenge on your boyfriends like that," she said.
