MANILA – It’s been just a year after Star Magic artist Mark Neumann became a Kapamilya, yet he was already blessed with several projects.

One of them is the upcoming romantic- comedy film “Harry & Patty” which stars Ahron Villena and Kakai Bautista.

In a media conference on Monday, the Filipino-Croatian actor said he plays Bautista's brother in the movie.

“‘Yung relationship namin bilang magkapatid, parang love-hate relationship. Sinasabihan ko siyang ang pangit niya, pero in some ways sweet din ako sa kanya,” Neumann said.

“Harry & Patty” writer Volta delos Santos revealed that Neumann was hand-picked for the role, saying the young actor really fits the comedic character.

“Nakatrabaho ko siya sa kabilang channel and magugulat po talaga kayo kay Mark na ‘yung comedic timing niya, nandun talaga, 'yung nakakatawa. Before kasi sa TV5, makikita mo na natural kay Mark ang pagpapatawa. Kaya sobrang bagay sa kanya ‘to,” said delos Santos, who previously worked with Neumann in a TV drama series.

The 23-year-old actor is also part of the film, “I Love You, Hater” and appeared in an episode of “Maalaala Mo Kaya.” He also joined the cast of “La Luna Sangre” last year as one of the Moonchasers.

“[I’m] really blessed with work and of course, ‘yung mainit na pagtanggap sa ‘kin na may work agad ako. So I feel really blessed and thankful to ABS-CBN,” he said.

Neumann said that he was open to do projects with anyone in the showbiz industry, but revealed that it is his dream to work with veteran actors Eddie Garcia, John Arcilla, and Joel Torre.

When asked for his preferred film genre, Neumann shared that he’s up for anything, saying: “Kung ano man [ang] darating sa ‘kin. Kung action man, of course magre-ready ako kasi kailangan in shape for that.”

“Harry and Patty” also stars Carmi Martin, Bodjie Pascua, Donna Cariaga, Joe Vargas, Lou Veloso, and Soliman Cruz with a special participation of Arci Munoz.

The Julius Ruslin Alfonso-directed film opens in cinemas on August 1.
