Sa depresyon ko ay kung saan saan na lang ako napunta.&quot;</p><p>Siaboc first opened up about his past addiction when he talked to <a href="http://news.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/07/13/16/ex-pda-singer-jay-r-siaboc-surrenders-to-police" target="_blank">ABS-CBN News</a> following his surrender to local police in the face of the government&#x27;s intensified campaign against illegal drugs. He said he wanted his name cleared from a supposed &quot;watch list&quot; claiming that he was a pusher. </p><p>Siaboc said that his decision to abandon his singing career was a personal low point. &quot;Nagkakaroon ako nang sala sa maraming tao dahil sa mga maling desisyon ko,&quot; he said, adding that he decided to return to his hometown in Cebu after wasting his money. </p><p>&quot;Before po ako napunta ng ABS, taga-probinsya lang ako, inosenteng-inosente. Tapos sa isang iglap lang ay nasa akin lahat: pera, fame --na-overwhelm ako sa mga nangyayari at hindi ko alam kung paano i-handle iyon. ...Hindi ko napahalagaan iyong mga blessings na dumating sa akin.&quot; </p><p>Siaboc said he tried to start over. He became a father and took local gigs as a band singer. &quot;Kaya naisipan ko umuwi para hindi lalong masira iyong pangalan ko, hanapin ko ulit iyong sarili ko kasi nawala na talaga ako,&quot; he said. </p><p>He was thrust back into the spotlight, however, after news broke of his surrender to local police.
