‘Katapusan mo na!’ Koreans roast Ryan Bang on ‘Showtime’ in riotous segment

<div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="https://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2019/tvpatrol/07/14/20190719-vice-ryan.jpg"/><figcaption>Ryan Bang (middle) is teased several times by Vice Ganda (right) about getting replaced as a co-host by a fellow South Korean (left) in the Friday episode of ‘It’s Showtime.’ <em>ABS-CBN</em></figcaption></figure></div><p>MANILA — Facing three compatriots on “It’s Showtime” on Friday, South Korean and self-proclaimed “Pinoy at heart” Ryan Bang was warned, in jest, of being eased out of the noontime program after the contestants successfully entertained the studio audience, several times at his expense.</p><p>The masked South Koreans were the mystery men in the special edition of “KapareWho,” a matchmaking segment which Bang co-hosts.</p><p>The contestant with the code name Song-Yupsal, in particular, had impeccable comic timing that resulted in Vice Ganda joking that he would fare well as a replacement of Bang.</p><p>The other two contestants appeared to catch on with the gag. He retaliated not with words but by getting physical with the contestants, making the studio erupt in laughter.</p><p>As the episode aired, several topics related to “It’s Showtime” topped trends on Twitter, including the official hashtag #ShowtimeWalangBitaw.</p><p>Updating viewers about the real-time rankings of the Twitter topics, Vice Ganda initiated a deal: if the official hashtag tops the worldwide list, Song-Yupsal will become a guest co-host, signaling “the end” of Bang’s career.</p><blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p dir="ltr" lang="tl">Blockbuster sa katatawanan at Trending Topics today!
