She thought of her gown, floral arrangements, and wedding invitations.</p><p>It was a day she wasn&#x27;t suppose to remember and hold dear, at least if you compare it to other life moments she would <a href="http://www.nikkagarcia.com/a-boy-after-my-heart/"><strong>blog about</strong></a> like the birth of her second child, her family&#x27;s first trip abroad, or the day she met Patrick.</p><p>It was a run of the mill day for her. And then it wasn&#x27;t.</p><p>Flustered, Nikka woke in the middle of the night and reached for her smartphone. She was overwhelmed with the urge to talk to Patrick&#x27;s former girlfriend, Jennylyn Mercado, also the mother of the actor&#x27;s first child. She had not met the actress since she began dating Patrick. She always hid herself away because of her fears and insecurities.</p><p>Understandable considering that Jennylyn is a frequent feature in a list of the &quot;sexiest&quot; women in the country. Nikka just didn&#x27;t know how to deal with all the confusion plaguing her, nor her place in the life of Jazz -- Patrick&#x27;s son with Jennylyn.</p><p>&quot;I didn’t know how to act,&quot; admitted Nikka.</p><p>But on that particular day she mentioned, she found courage, driven with the desire to see her then-fiance light up if he knew Jazz would be part of their wedding. She pressed send on her smartphone.</p><p>She met with Jennylyn for the first time.</p><p>&quot;It was casual. It was peaceful. It was nice. I knew in my heart that this was definitely God’s plan. God took away all my insecurity and replaced it with genuine admiration,&quot; wrote Nikka on her blog, as she decided to finally open up about the &quot;sensitive topic.&quot;</p><p>After their meeting, Nikka went home to Patrick, who may have been also expecting an ordinary end to another day of wedding planning. It wasn&#x27;t. She told her the news, that Jazz was going to be at their big day.</p><p>&quot;He hugged me so tight. He thanked me over and over again. He said he loves me a million times. He was so happy. And so was I,&quot; Nikka said. &quot;That was all that mattered to me. I wanted my (soon-to-be) husband to be happy. It was absolutely worth it.
