Jonathan Cellona, ABS-CBN News / Instagram: @krisaquino</figcaption></figure></div>MANILA — Former TV host Kris Aquino believes President Rodrigo Duterte is worth emulating when it comes to being “authentic.”Aquino, the youngest sister of Duterte’s predecessor Benigno Aquino III, took to Instagram on Tuesday to share her sentiments on the President’s fourth State of the Nation Address (SONA).Pointing out she watched the address in full, Aquino wrote: “Bakit si President Duterte kayang bigyang halaga ang hinaing ng lahat ng mga tao? Sa malalang traffic? Sa mahirap na pagbayad sa SSS, Pag-Ibig, Customs, etc.? Umaksyon sya at tinanggal yung mga palpak at corrupt sa Philhealth.”President Duterte, in his speech, said he was “grossly disappointed” over the alleged misuse of state health insurance funds on “ghost” dialysis treatments, which he said proves that corruption is pervasive.A former employee of WellMed Dialysis Center in Quezon City last month bared that the clinic made payment claims for dead patients from PhilHealth from 2016 to 2018.Aquino, in her post, also mentioned the President’s candid remarks as he expressed frustration over the prevalent corruption in government three years into his campaign against abusive civil servants.“Sinabihan tayo na pag may nakitang mali, karapatan nating mag reklamo at mag ingay dahil tayo ang nagpapa sweldo at nagpapa-andar sa gubyerno. Bakit yung pinaka makapangyarihan kayang umamin sa taong bayan na marami pang dapat ayusin? Matapang na umamin in 35 years sya mismo nahirapang labanan ang corruption,” she said, unedited.In his address, Duterte called on Filipinos to “be assertive” if they encounter corrupt practices in the renderring of government services.“At ‘pag kayo hiningan more than the required payment by government, again I’m telling you mag-iskandalo kayo sa opisina. Make a scene. Sampalin mo ‘yang mga y**a na ‘yan kasi aabot rin sa akin ‘yan,&quot; he said.Concluding her post commending Duterte, Aquino went on: “Napahanga nya ko... Kaya sana, tumulad na lang tayo sa pagka AUTHENTIC ni Presidente Duterte, hindi nagyayabang, direcho magsalita. We keep saying we deserve a better country, that starts with accountability. We can have a better [Philippines] BUT that starts with us.”
