“The things that happened in my life, ang laki ng effect sa akin as a performer,” disclosed Vice. “Nalungkot ako, na-depress ako, nag worry ako, natakot ako, na-stress ako.

The first few weeks when he returned to “It’s Showtime,” Vice felt the need to talk to the staff. “I felt so bad,” he said.

When we started airing again, I asked for their help to reset. I told them, ‘Mag-focus tayo sa kung anong dahilan bakit tayo nandito. Isigaw natin. We have to be aware about our purpose -- to make people happy.”

Thankfully, Vice was able to re-focus to his work. “Seriously, ayoko na kasing masyadong magtanong nang magtanong,” he honestly said.

I acknowledge my weakness right now and the things I cannot do. I lift everything to the Lord. I don’t want to stress myself about the things I don’t know.

When everything will normalize, Vice is aware they will all have to make many adjustments anew. His present schedule is hardly toxic unlike before. “My scheduled series of concerts abroad for this year, na cancel lahat,” he said. “Malaking oras ang naibalik sa akin. I’m not too busy now. I only do ‘Showtime.’ Hindi madugo ang schedule.”

“Hindi ako takot sa digital now, unlike on TV,” Vice asserted. “Even late-night sa TV, the show should be more sanitized. We cannot even say ‘utot’ or ‘tinga.’ Pinatawag pa kami to call our attention. In this digital network, we can engage in a naughty chat together.”
