John Lloyd asks Sarah: 'Am I the one that got away?'

Appearing on Tuesday's "Tonight with Boy Abunda," John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo were made to ask each other a rather straightforward question: "Yes or no, am I the one that got away?"

Cruz looked uncomfortable in doing so, having already clarified in previous interviews that he does not harbor any regrets that he and Geronimo remained only friends.

He still did, though. And after giving it some thought, Geronimo replied: "No" -- which he echoed when it was his turn to answer.

In the past, Cruz admitted that he did have feelings for Geronimo, but said that "bad timing" was the reason on why their friendship didn't blossom into something more. "Timing wasn't a friend," he said.

Geronimo, for her part, shared that she did have a crush on Cruz back when they worked in "A Very Special Love," a 2008 romantic comedy that gave birth to their love team's devout following.

Geronimo, who is now in a relationship with Matteo Guidicelli, turned giddy as she said that she felt "joy" whenever he would see Cruz letting out a smile.

She did, however, clarify that this doesn't necessarily mean that her feelings were romantic, explaining that they're better off as friends.

The two made an appearance on the late night talk show to promote "Finally Found Someone," which is now showing in theaters nationwide.
