MANILA — Ryzza Mae Dizon was among the first batch of moviegoers who saw “Hello, Love, Goodbye” — and it appears the teen star couldn’t help but bawl as the credits rolled, and even as she exited the cinema.

On Instagram on Wednesday, the opening day of the Star Cinema film, Dizon shared videos showing the audience of a block screening that was organized in support of Alden Richards.

GMA-7’s Richards, Dizon’s fellow mainstay in the noontime show “Eat Bulaga,” is co-starring for the first time with ABS-CBN’s Kathryn Bernardo in “Hello, Love, Goodbye.”

Dizon, 14, shed tears and wiped her face in a moment that drew laughter from her companions inside the theater, as seen in one clip.

“‘Yung iyak mo rinig namin hanggang doon!” one woman could be heard telling Dizon, referring to several rows behind where the young host was seated.

Mentioning Richards and Bernardo, a crying Dizon addressed the camera in another video recorded as she walked out of the cinema, saying, “Ang galing po! Ang galing niyong lahat!”

Set in Hong Kong, “Hello, Love, Goodbye” follows the love story of Joy (Bernardo), a domestic helper, and Ethan (Richards), a bartender, as they both grapple with the challenges faced by Filipino workers based abroad.

On July 31 alone, the Cathy Garcia-Molina movie raked in P34 million nationwide, according to Star Cinema, clinching the record for the highest first-day gross of a local film in 2019.
