LOOK: Diether Ocampo is now a PCGA Lieutenant Commander

MANILA -- Former matinee idol Diether Ocampo is now a lieutenant commander at the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA).

On top of his PCGA rank, Ocampo also recently completed the seafarer's training conducted by the Philippine Center for Advanced Maritime Simulation and Training (Philcamsat).

In a video by Philcamsat, Ocampo shared what made him decide to become a seafarer.

"Masarap na maging bahagi ng isang industriya na naging malaki ang kontribusyon hindi lang sa Pilipinas kundi sa buong mundo, " he said.

Ocampo was part of ABS-CBN's defunct fantasy series "Bagani" starring Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano.
