New 'Barcelona' trailer reveals major plot points

The newest trailer for "Barcelona: A Love Untold" starring Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla has revealed major plot points for the upcoming Star Cinema film.

For one, the clip reveals that Mia (Bernardo) decided to fly to Spain in an effort to rid herself of her insecurities about failure. It also shows her attempting suicide once things hit a snag, only for her to be saved by Ely (Padilla).

"Kaunting hirap, susuko agad? Masabihan lang ng kaunti, aalis. Kapag pumalpak, tatakas! Alam mo, Mia, Hindi ka talaga puwede sa ibang bansa eh! Ang hina mo!" Ely shouts.

Their faithful meeting will lead to them developing feelings for each other, with Mia helping Ely move on from a disastrous and painful relationship.

"Baka sakaling tumigil ang walang katapusan sana," Ely replies when Mia asks about his former lover.

Star Cinema aired the trailer during the finale of "Dolce Amore" on Friday evening.

Earlier teasers have already unveiled several footage from the film, which was shot in the cosmopolitan capital of Spain's Catalonia region.

According to both Bernardo and Padilla, the film, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Olivia Lamasan, will tackle the modern youth's tendency to travel to another country and forget about their problems, as well as the difficulty of making a living abroad.

"Barcelona: A Love Untold" will premiere in cinemas on September 14.
