Jessy Mendiola’s action movie with Derek Ramsay is finally out

<p>MANILA – Jessy Mendiola is a fierce leading lady in her latest movie project.</p><p>The actress stars in “Mga Mata sa Dilim,” which premieres on ABS-CBN’s streaming service iWant on Friday, September 13.</p><p>Watch the trailer for the movie, which also features Derek Ramsay and Joko Diaz, below:</p><figure class="op-interactive"><iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/TogkvFIu_9o?enablejsapi=1"></iframe></figure><div class="iwantbar">Watch more in <a href="//www.iwantv.com.ph/">iWantv</a> or <a href="//tfc.tv/">TFC.tv</a></div><p>In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Thursday, Mendiola said she is happy to finally get the chance to work with Ramsay for a movie project.</p><p>“I’ve always wanted to work with him (Ramsay) and ‘yon, finally [it happened],” she said.</p><p>“He’s very professional, sobrang gentleman, and he’s kalog in real life,” she added. “Makikita rin ‘yon sa film namin. Meron kaming mga light moments, may kilig moments kami.”</p><p>Mendiola went on to share how her role in “Mga Mata sa Dilim” is different from the other characters she has portrayed.</p><p>“Palaban siya. Hindi lang siya damsel in distress,” she explained. “Kaya nakakatuwa rin kasi binigyan nila ng ganoong characteristic ‘yung role ko, na lalaban din siya. Hindi lang siya ‘yung hihingi ng tulong sa kung sino man, tutulungan niya ‘yung sarili niya.”</p><p>“Iyon ang difference sa ibang roles na nagawa ko.”</p>
