Anne Curtis appears to now have a good grasp of Vice Ganda’s brand of comedy, including his naughty jokes, with the two being long-time co-hosts and close friends.

Anne Curtis bursts into laughter over Vice Ganda's joke during the Tawag ng Tanghalan segment of 'It's Showtime.' ABS-CBN

This was apparent on Thursday as Curtis, initially speechless, managed to smoothly divert Vice Ganda's running joke about motel customers, during the live episode of "It's Showtime."

Where Vice Ganda made suggestive sounds to comedic effect, Curtis quickly came up with scenarios more appropriate for noontime TV, including too high a temperature for the bath shower, or the air-conditioning triggering shivers.

During the "Tawag ng Tanghalan" segment, the duo also had the audience laughing with banter about Curtis' "sosyal" way of speaking — often a subject of Vice Ganda's jokes.

Owing to their rapport and onscreen chemistry, Curtis and Vice Ganda's hilarious banter has been a staple on "It's Showtime," with the actress' singing also a frequent target of the comedian's punchlines.

Here’s a look-back at some of their memorable moments on stage:

What if Vice Ganda sung 'Boom Panes' for Anne's wedding march?

Vice Ganda has apparently had enough of Anne always breaking into a song.

With the undertime episode having minutes to burn, the pair shows their creativity with an impromptu skit about being twin sisters.

Anne's mouth has always been a subject of Vice Ganda's jokes, but the actress has the comedian speechless with this comeback.

Vice Ganda blames the "ergonomically incorrect" carpentry of his chair for falling off it. Anne looks on, laughing.

The pair assists a "Miss Q&A" contestant whose nose hair is showing, but Anne's keen observation points to her co-host also needing the same help.

The Tondo-raised Vice Ganda cringes over Anne's "sosyal" pronunciation of words.

Vice Ganda delivers a mysterious "message" for Anne from a typhoon about to pass the country.

Is "ViceAnne" a thing? The comedian seems to think there's a potential for a "love team," as he teases Anne getting "kilig" with his jokes.

A "Miss Q&A" contestant's answer has the pair uncontrollably laughing.
