How Rufa Mae knew she's found 'the one'

MANILA – “I knew he was the one because he understands me,” sexy comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto said about her Filipino-American fiance in an interview on "Tonight with Boy Abunda" aired Wednesday.

“We just hit it off,” added Quinto, who met Trevor Magallanes while she was on vacation in San Francisco early this year.

But it wasn't love at first sight. Quinto shared that she almost didn't return Magallanes' FaceTime call at first.

"I hanged up on him," she admitted, adding that she was more interested in the new "Star Wars" film back then.

However, Magallanes' persistence paid off and he was able to score a date with Quinto before her return flight to the Philippines.

Now, Quinto and Magallanes are engaged to be married. To add, Quinto is pregnant with her first child.

In the same interview, she revealed that she was the first one to ask Magallanes if he wanted to settle down. And, as a testament to what Quinto said about having this clear understanding between each other, Magallenes replied to her through a text message with: "When?"

The two are expected to exchange wedding vows sometime in November, but Quinto clarified that there's no exact date yet.
