MANILA - Well, that was quick. After finally admitting their feelings for each other via a romantic rooftop scene, Iris (Nadine Lustre) decided to ask for some "space" from Basti (James Reid) despite admitting the need to get to know each other better.

The flip-flopping of emotions began for Iris after she found out that Basti's stepmom, Val, (Angel Aquino) is dating her mother's ex, Nestor (Zoren Legaspi). This is problematic, not only because it violates the female version of the bro code, but because Iris' mother, Cass (Carmina Villaroel), feels betrayed by Val. You see, both of them vowed to never forgive Nestor, also Basti's father, for breaking both their hearts then, when they found out that he was cheating on them.

"Hindi naman talaga tayo maghihiwalay. Cool-off lang. Para mas makilala lang natin iyong isa't isa," explained Iris to Basti, who was having none of it. "Parehas din iyon. Marami na tayong pinagdaanan. Anong pinagsasabi mong hindi pa natin kilala ang isa't isa?" replied Basti.

By the end of the episode, Basti decided to call off the relationship altogether after sensing that Iris didn't share his feelings; that Iris was still unsure as to whether he was the right person for her, her worries born out of the fear of making the same mistake as her mother.

"If that's what you think, there's no point in arguing with you. Nag-decide ka na eh. If you want to break up, then let's just end it here," an irate Basti said.

Directed by Antoinette Jadaone, "Till I Met You" airs weeknights after "Magpahanggang Wakas."
