WATCH: This impromptu mashup of 10 songs is as impressive as you'd expect

MANILA — Dubbed the “new breed of singing superstars,” young champions Zephanie Dimaranan, Elha Nympha, and Janine Berdin did not once skip a beat when challenged to do an impromptu mashup of OPM songs.

The newly launched trio impressed the audience of “Gandang Gabi Vice” in its September 22 episode, as they each thought of a song that would fit the tempo and tune of “Narda,” as initiated by host Vice Ganda.

With the girls taking three turns each, plus Vice Ganda’s opener, the impromptu mashup totaled 10 songs.

Dimaranan, Nympha, and Berdin were introduced as a trio in “ASAP Natin ‘To” in August. All three won an ABS-CBN singing competition: Dimaranan from “Idol Philippines,” Nympha from “The Voice Kids,” and Berdin from “Tawag ng Tanghalan.”

As they recalled in the “Gandang Gabi Vice” episode, Dimaranan notably overlapped with Nympha and Berdin in their respective competitions.

Dimaranan settled for a finalist finish in Nympha’s batch of “The Voice Kids,” and as a daily winner during the reign of Berdin as a “Tawag ng Tanghalan” defending champion.
