'On the Job: The Missing 8' is PH entry to Oscars

(DGPI).</p><p>“On the Job: The Missing 8” premiered in September 2021 at the 78th Venice International Film Festival, where Arcilla won the Volpi Cup for Best Actor.</p><ul class="op-related-articles">	<li><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/life/09/29/21/aside-from-volpi-cup-heres-what-john-arcilla-got-from-venice-film-fest">LOOK: Aside from Volpi Cup, here&#x27;s what John Arcilla got from Venice Film Festival</a></li></ul><p>With the recognition, Arcilla made history as the first Southeast Asian artist to win best actor at the prestigious festival.</p><p>In “On the Job: The Missing 8,” Arcilla portrayed Sisoy, a corrupt journalist who questions his loyalty to a politician when eight of his colleagues go missing.
