<p>Weeks after revealing the “financial abuse” of a once trusted business partner, actress-host Kris Aquino on Friday formalized her complaint against the individual whom she still opted not to identify.</p><div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="https://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2018/entertainment/04/05/kris.jpg"/><figcaption>Actress-host Kris Aquino. <em>Instagram: @krisaquino</em></figcaption></figure></div><p>Aquino, 47, said in an Instagram post that she filed the qualified theft complaint before the Quezon City Office of the Prosecutor on Friday morning.</p><p>Her legal team, headed by Atty. Sigrid Fortun, filed the same complaint on her behalf in San Juan, Mandaluyong, Pasig, Makati, Taguig, and Manila.</p><p>Aquino first made public what she called a “betrayal” within her business circle in late September.</p><ul class="op-related-articles">	<li><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/09/25/18/kris-aquino-reveals-betrayal-financial-abuse-enlists-help-of-florin-hilbay">Kris Aquino reveals &#x27;betrayal, financial abuse,&#x27; enlists help of Florin Hilbay</a></li></ul><p>At the time, she said the problem does not concern her sole proprietorship company, Kris Cojuangco Aquino Productions (KCAP), which is behind her digital empire, but her other business deals — specifically 14 branches of the movie snacking outlets Nacho Bimby+Potato Corner, and the Thai beauty brand Snail White.</p><p>She said she was fortunate to have learned “the extent I have been taken advantage of early enough after 16 months, before more damage could have been done to KCAP’s finances and tax compliance, and the trusted reputation I have worked so hard to establish in the Philippine and Asia-Pacific business communities.”</p><div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2018/tvpatrol/10/10/20181012-kris.jpg"/><figcaption>Kris Aquino filed a qualified theft complaint before the Quezon City Office of the Prosecutor on Friday. <em>Instagram: @krisaquino</em></figcaption></figure></div><p>As in her latest Instagram post, she did not identify the individual in the Facebook post in September.</p><p>Aquino said on Friday that her lawyers sought a settlement with the respondent’s party, but were supposedly met with a negative response.</p><p>“I continue to have faith that the Philippines’ justice system will uphold the law with impartiality &amp; fairness. My legal teams had met with his representatives in an attempt to settle amicably, but in straight forward language — cumare bears sila,” she said.</p><p>“My family had advocated for peace but the other party failed to even meet us halfway and instead chose to spread malicious lies and falsehoods,” she said.</p><p>In an apparent warning to the respondent, Aquino added she is not one to back medical attention.</p><p>Aquino had lost 15 pounds in a month — the physical toll, she said, of the business-related ordeal and “devastating pain of lost trust.”</p><p>She was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease — chronic spontaneous urticaria — which is aggravated by stress, she said, citing her doctors.</p>
