<p>In a “heartbreaking” moment for loyal fans of “ElNella,” Janella Salvador and Elmo Magalona shared a duet possibly for the final time over the weekend, after the actress made known her preference to no longer work with her former leading man following their controversial breakup.</p><div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="https://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2018/entertainment/01/27/elmo.jpg"/><figcaption>Former couple Elmo Magalona and Janella Salvador pose together during happier times in January 2018. <em>Instagram: @superjanella</em></figcaption></figure></div><p>Salvador, 20, and Magalona, 24, are currently on a concert tour in Canada, dubbed “One Magical Night,” that was announced as early as July — months before their alleged altercation that led to their separation.</p><p>They have so far performed, along with Kapamilya stars Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, in Calgary and Vancouver, with a final stop scheduled on the 10th in Toronto.</p><div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="https://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2018/entertainment/11/01/20181101-elnella-kathniel.jpg"/><figcaption>After their controversial breakup, Elmo Magalona and Janella Salvador promote a series of shows in Canada, along with Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla. <em>Facebook: One Magical Night Canada 2018 Tour</em></figcaption></figure></div><p>During the Calgary event at the Genesis Center, Salvador and Magalona performed a duet of “Born for You” — the significance of which was not lost on long-time supporters of the former couple.</p><p>The David Pomeranz tune is also the title of the 2016 teleserye that launched their love team, and where their close friendship blossomed into a romantic relationship.</p><figure class="op-interactive"><iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/qo8dUAfKY9s?enablejsapi=1"></iframe></figure><div class="iwantbar">Watch more in <a href="//www.iwantv.com.ph/">iWantv</a> or <a href="//tfc.tv/">TFC.tv</a></div><p>Unlike in their past performances of “Born for You,” Salvador and Magalona now had a noticeable distance, at least to fans in the comments of a YouTube upload of the Calgary duet from user Jovaga 7777.</p><p>While they still interacted, gone were the holding of hands, locking of eyes, and warm smiles and hugs that characterized “ElNella” duets prior to their breakup.</p><figure class="op-interactive"><iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/pxDYEqhmfeY?enablejsapi=1"></iframe></figure><div class="iwantbar">Watch more in <a href="//www.iwantv.com.ph/">iWantv</a> or <a href="//tfc.tv/">TFC.tv</a></div><p>“It saddens me to see them like this. As they sang the song I can see a lot of emotions showing up. Love, pain and regrets,” wrote one fan.</p><p>Another supporter addressed her idols: “That song was really made for you and nothing will change that. Feel the lyrics, Elmo and Janella, absorb every word, so you will feel the love, that developed because of this red string of fate song! Ang sakit-sakit kasi ramdam ko na mahal pa rin nila ang isa’t-isa e pero ‘yun nga, nagkasakitan sila… Sana dumating ‘yung time na magkapatawaran sila at mag-heal ‘yung mga sugat sa puso nila.”<br/> <br/>“Ang sakit sa puso. Tumulo na pala luha ko,” another fan said.</p><p>The Canada shows came only over a week after Salvador accused Magalona of having physically hurt her on two separate occasions during the relationship.
