MANILA -- Jessy Mendiola denied that she intentionally skipped taping when she found out that Angel Locsin was scheduled to appear on the weekly gag show "Banana Sundae."

In a press conference on Thursday, Mendiola revealed that Locsin was supposed to guest on their show but this didn't push through.

"Tinanong ko nga po kasi supposedly maggi-guest po siya at nagkataon na wala ako noong day na yon," said Mendiola, who stressed that it was purely coincidental that she was absent that day.

Mendiola, who is currently dating Luis Manzano, the ex-boyfriend of Locsin, said she would welcome the "The Third Party" star on the gag show if ever the guesting pushes through.

She also reiterated that there is no issue between her and Locsin. "Kayo po, may isyu po ba kayo sa akin? Ako, wala. Kayo, meron," she asked reporters.

Mendiola has already denied that she caused the breakup of Locsin and Manzano.

Manzano has also cleared Mendiola in the split.
