What network war? 'UKG' hosts greet 'Unang Hirit' on 20th anniversary

MANILA – Here’s proof that the hosts of the morning show “Umagang Kay Ganda” are not affected by ABS-CBN’s so-called network war against GMA-7.

On Tuesday, Anthony Taberna and his fellow “UKG” hosts recorded a video greeting for their rival morning show “Unang Hirit,” which is celebrating its 20th anniversary.

The clip was uploaded on Twitter by ABS-CBN reporter Jeff Canoy, who is also a host on the show.

Arnold Clavio, one of the hosts of “Unang Hirit,” reposted Canoy’s video on his Instagram and thanked the “UKG” family for the gesture.

“Sa mga bumubuo po ng ‘UKG,’ maraming salamat sa inyo pong naging pagbati sa amin sa ‘Unang Hirit,’” he said.

“UKG” and “Unang Hirit” have been rivals in the morning slot for the past 12 years.
