‘Your Moment’: Exes capture judges’ hearts with ‘In the Arms of an Angel’ cover

<p>MANILA—Most would argue that one should never be friends with their exes. </p><p>But it appears one of the contestants of Saturday&#x27;s &quot;Your Moment&quot; ignored that advice altogether, and even decided to keep singing with her former boyfriend as part of their musical duo. </p><p>Meet Keren Lazaro and Mark Takeuchi, childhood best friends who fell in love but are now exes. She explained that they broke up because she fell out of love. </p><p>In their introduction video, Takeuchi shared that he continues to perform with Lazaro because he wants to see her succeed. </p><p>Regarding their cover, the judges were full of praise, with TV host Boy Abunda commending Takeuchi for allowing Lazaro, whom co-judge Nadine Lustre said had an angelic voice, to shine. </p><p>&quot;Mark, I know you did your part pero hindi masyado . . . You allowed her her moment and by doing so, ang ganda ninyong tingnan,&quot; Abunda told them. </p><p>They eventually got a higher score than the two other performers they went against, getting 89.44 percent. </p><p>This meant that they will be moving on to the next round, along with the three other acts that won their respective battles. </p><p>These were First Five Band, belly dancing group Angel Fire, and French dance duo Geometrie Variable. </p>
