I believe in trying my best and hopefully my best is good enough.”</p><p>Coming from a privileged background and from a family of beauty queens--her mother is Miss International Melanie Marquez and her cousin Teresita Sen Marquez was crowned the first Reina Hispanoamericana in 2017--Dee faces the pressure of winning a crown for herself. But she said she wants to make her own mark. </p><p>“My mom, the most important advice she gave me is to be myself. I am not trying to be the second Melanie Marquez or the next Winwyn Marquez. I just want to be my own woman,” said Dee.</p><p>Miss World 2019 will be held in Excel London. </p>
