It’s more than what I expected. I only dreamed before of coming to France but when I came here for the auditions, I still can’t believe that, Wow! I am really here,” she said during an interview with ABS-CBN Europe the day after the grand finals.She recounted her excitement when the host of the show announced the ranking of the finalists. “Parang di ako makapaniwala na nasama ako sa Top 5 dahil lahat sila magagaling at talented…nung di pa ko ma-mention 5, 4… Parang heart ko… I felt relieved na nasama ako sa Top 3. Parang it’s more than I deserve…Parang naisip ko na sana masaya sila na pumasok ako sa Top 3,” she said.This year&#x27;s grand champion was Antonio Bembibre, while singer Mickael dos Santos bagged the second place.The Pinay is thankful to Filipino in France who supported her all the way.“Alam ko naman na di ko maaabot ang naabot ko ngayon kung hindi dahil sa inyo kasi nakikita ko naman from the start na andyan talaga kayo para sa akin hindi lang para sa votes but also for the encouragements. You make me feel na hindi ako nag-iisa. Kaya nagpapasalamat talaga ako sa inyo,” she said.It was Alienette’s first time to join an international talent competition. Her only dream before was touring France. Her interest in France and its language started when she heard Edith Piaf’s song, “La Vie en Rose” (Life in Rosy Hues). In three years, she was able to master the language. Her online friends based in France then convinced her to join La France a un Incroyable Talent. “I said, why not? This may be the chance that I may get discovered. So I sent 10 videos to the production and after 2 weeks, they informed me that I got in!” Alienette exclaimed in joy while recounting how it all started. For Alienette, joining the talent show was such a unique experience.“I found what my inner strength is. I used to sing pieces of Mariah Carey and Celine Dion and that is all. Here in this show, I had to stick to my story - a Filipina who is really into French language and with that, I discovered my capacity to convey emotions and now I understand that the essence of singing is not all about how powerful your voice is but its effect to anyone who listens to it,” she said.Alienette, during her performances in the show, moved judges to tears. She sang Jacques Brel’s Quand On N’a Que L’Amour (When All We Have Is Love) In her final performance which she learned to sing in two weeks. She’s confident that she’s rendered the emotional song the way it should be sang. Some of Alienette’s friends and fellow contestants joined her in the hotel where she stayed during the Finals. According to the second placer, Mikael, “It’s a super experience for me and Alienette. It was a moment to cherish, unforgettable, it made us live in the moment. We did good in the competition, out of many contestants we were on top 3. It’s such an awesome stage of our lives.”Filipinos in France are very proud of her achievement. “Nung in-announce na Top 3 si Alienette, masaya pa rin ako. Nasa Top 3 siya, para sa ating mga Pilipino, karangalan na yun. Masaya ako para sa kanya,” said Pinay Alma dela Cruz.Another OFW added, “Masaya ako dahil sa paglaban niya. Nagawa niyang i-represent ang mga kababayan natin dito sa bansang Pransya. Sobrang nakaka-proud dahil ang lakas ng loob niya at ang galing niya. Congratulations Alienette at mabuhay ka!”The Pinay singer is going to miss France. She is now on her way back to the Philippines to be with her family and friends again.But before leaving, Alienette made a courtesy call to Ambassador Teresa Lazaro and staff of the Philippine embassy in Paris.
