MANILA — The newest Gen Z barkada from the hit series "Zoomers" are grateful for the overwhelming support they have received from fans.
The show follows the lives of senior high school students, played by young stars Criza Taa, Harvey Bautista, Luke Alford, Krystl Ball, and Ralph de Leon.
As these characters navigate the challenges of post-pandemic reality, their friendship will be tested by personal struggles, dreams, and the social issues they encounter.
Taa, who plays Hope, said "Zoomers" is an important and timely series that tackles various social issues such as drug abuse, pornography, LGBTQIA+ topics, and mental health.

The show aims to shed light on these pressing issues and engage the audience in meaningful conversations.
“Sobrang importante po na mapanood po nila 'yung 'Zoomers' kasi hindi lang siya kagaya ng mababaw na samahan friendship, tawanan, kulitan. Andito din 'yung pagiging confused sa gender, pagiging bully, sacrificing for family, hinahanap ang sarili, lahat na kinakaharap ng isang Gen Z so alam ko po marami ang makaka-relate dito,” Taa said.
Taa got her showbiz break back in 2018 when she joined "Pinoy Big Brother Otso."
Harvey Bautista, the son of renowned actor Herbert Bautista, stressed that he is carving his own path in the industry and wants to be recognized for his own talents and skills.
“Siyempre following his footsteps but at the same time moving out of his shadow. Medyo malaki shadow ng dad ko sa showbiz industry especially films na ginawa niya. My dad, supportive naman siya. It's nice to have that kind of figure in my life,” he said.

Luke Alford, a former contestant of the reality show "The Voice" in 2015, brings his talent to another level after saying yes to do acting as Kokoy on the show.
"Nakakatuwa sobrang overwhelming po. Parang hindi namin in-expect na ganun siya mamahalin ng mga tao. After ko po mag-'The Voice' mas na-introduce po talaga ako sa acting. Talagang mahal ko po ang acting,” he said.
Krystl Ball and Ralph de Leon, who are relatively new to the industry, secured their roles through a rigorous audition process.
Ball's portrayal of Tania in the youth-reality series has gained attention, particularly for her kissing scene with a character as the series address LGBTQIA+ relationships.
De Leon said being an actor was never really part of his plans before.
“Pinangarap ko siya but 'yung dream na to started really late for me this pandemic naisip ko na baka pwede to try ko but to be here now sobrang saya nakakataba ng puso seeing all the comments reception,” he said.
With 10 episodes, "Zoomers" airs weekdays at 10:15 p.m. after "Can't Buy Me Love" via Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, TV5 and The Filipino Channel.
