Jeremiah Lisbo and Kaori Oinuma hope to take “kilig” to a new level in their first lead project "Halfmates."

The KaoMiah tandem said audiences would hopefully notice the improvement in their on-screen chemistry in the upcoming romantic comedy.

“Mas magaan po ngayon. Minsan kahit non-verbal, tinginan lang kami ni Kaori, alam na namin ang mga dapat gawin. Doon niyo makikita 'yung chemistry namin," Lisbo said at the media conference of “Halfmates“ held in Quezon City, Thursday.

"I think personally sabi nga niya yes mas magaan, pero when it comes to character naman mas fun 'yung tandem namin this time. Siguro depende na rin sa kuwento na rin but yeah, fun, light and enjoy kung idi-describe ko 'yung tandem naming dalawa," Oinuma added.

Oinuma will play the role of Dani, a young and sunny former OFW, while Lisbo will portray James, a quiet and structured guy. Their lives become intertwined after learning that they were scammed in a double sale of their dream house.

“Halfmates” director Raz de la Torre gave described KaoMiah's as "natural."

"We can say that in other love teams pero with them may degree of professionalism and humility as well which is a good combination for actors," he added.

"Halfmates" will begin streaming on ABS-CBN Entertainment's YouTube channel on October 18.
