On its social media channels, the nine-member act announced late Sunday it would make a comeback in December with its 14th extended play (EP).

The group unveiled a teaser photo for the EP "Strategy," scheduled for release on December 6.

The announcement came hours after the group held a fan meeting in Seoul to celebrate its ninth debut anniversary.

"Strategy" marks the group's first Korean comeback since its 13th EP "With YOU-th," which dropped in February and went on to top the Billboard 200 albums chart in the United States.

Throughout 2024, the group put out a Japanese album, "Dive," and concluded their "Ready to Be" world tour. Members Nayeon and Tzuyu as well as the Japanese sub-unit MISAMO also released new music.

The group also visited the Philippines in June for a brand-sponsored fan meeting.

TWICE, consisting of members Jihyo, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu, debuted in 2015 and quickly gained popularity with their infectious singles, which mostly draw from bubblegum pop and dance-pop styles. — Report from Lyene Marie Darang, ABS-CBN News intern
