MANILA -- In 2017, an 11-year-old Fyang Smith watched as Maymay Entrata was crowned as the "Big Winner" of  Pinoy Big Brother Lucky 7.

The moment fueled her to chase her dream of one day becoming a housemate. But she never imagined that some seven years later, she would step into the same spotlight as her idol and join the rank of PBB Big Winners in a record-breaking episode.

"Matagal na ako nanunuod. Ako gusto ko makapasok sa PBB talaga, 9 pa lang ako. And nasubaybayan ko season ni Maymay. Siya naging inspiration ko. Hindi siya nahiya. To [be herself], 'yun talaga," said Fyang.

The "Amakabogera Influencer of Mandaluyong" bagged the top spot of PBB Gen 11 after garnering 30.66% of the total votes. An audience of over 2.2 million concurrent viewers watched her crowning moment on Saturday.

A day later, Smith admitted that she is still in disbelief.

"Kahapon ko nalaman na record breaker ako— I was like 'what? Totoo ba to?' very overwhelming. happy talaga ako na-experience ko. Hindi  ako nakatulog, super happy ako sa nangyari. Very grateful sa supporters ko," she said.

According to the former housemate, she greatly appreciated the roaring crowd that welcomed her back to "the outside world" as she stepped out of the Pinoy Big Brother house after 14 weeks.

"I feel so special. Merong tao nag-effort makita ako. Nag support sa mismong big night. Hindi nag-sink in sa akin," she recalled.

"Actually, 'di ko in-expect lalo mag grow followers ko. Pag labas ko Fyang na ako. Grabe," she added.

The Big Winner also expressed gratitude to "Kuya" for guiding her throughout PBB Gen 11 and helping her return home as a better version of herself.

"Sabi ko from being maarte and disrespectful to being mindful and considerate. I want to thank Kuya for making the best version of Fyang po. And I'll forever cherish that," she said.

Next on Smith's list of goals is to make a name for herself as an acclaimed actress—and to share the screen with her long-time crush, Kyle Echarri.

"Siguro magka movies soon, makasama sa teleserye. I lift everything to God," she said.

She went on: "And number one si Kyle Echarri. Siya talaga first crush ko. Until now crush na crush ko."

Before stepping into the hustle, Smith revealed that she plans to spend quality time with her loved ones.
Before stepping into the hustle, Smith revealed that she plans to spend quality time with her loved ones.

"Very first ko gagawin ko is ilabas family ko. Di ko inexpect dad ko andoon. Next is to go to Tanay, sa fave spot ko with my best friends," she explained.

Now that she is back in the "outside world," Smith hopes that her journey inspired some of the millions of viewers who tuned in to pursue their own inspirations -- much like Maymay did for her all those years ago.

She believes that she stands as proof -- like other Big Winners before her -- that dreams really do come true.

"Yung heart ko sobrang masaya, buong katawan," she said.
