MANILA — Kapamilya actor Jake Cuenca is hoping to work with Bea Alonzo as he teased his upcoming projects with online streaming platforms.

Jake Cuenca renews contract with ABS-CBN

After renewing his contract with ABS-CBN, Cuenca revealed how he and Alonzo would talk about working together.

"Napag-usapan na namin noon, muntikan na kaming magka-trabaho nitong kailan lang. Bea Alonzo is definitely one. Matagal na naming gustong magka-trabaho," the actor told reporters in a press conference.

"I think I did a cameo one time sa teleserye niya noon, 'Guns 'N Roses,' pero never pa kaming pinagtatambal eh and that's something na pinag-uusapan namin everytime we see each other," he added.

Cuenca also announced a project led by the directors of "The Iron Heart" Wang Yan Bin and Lester Pimentel with Baron Geisler. 

"I just had finished a movie with Netflix with my directors of 'The Iron Heart,' Direk Lester Pimintel, Direk Ace (Wang Yan Bin). It's a movie with Baron Geisler, I can't disclose too many things but it's coming out very soon but abangan niyo 'yon," Cuenca said. 

"I just had the post-production for this. I did the dubbing and oh my God, I'm so proud of it. So I can't wait to share it with everyone. I can't wait for everyone to see this movie," he added.

He also teased about an upcoming project with Prime Video. "I can't disclose too many details about it as well but you'll find out soon enough," he said.

Cuenca, who started in ABS-CBN with "Sana Maulit Muli" in 2007, drew wide acclaim for his performance as Dave in “Tayong Dalawa” in 2009.

His latest projects with the Kapamilya network includes "The Iron Heart" in 2023 followed by "What's Wrong With Secretary Kim" in 2024.
