Jose Mari Chan turned emotional after singing "Please Be Careful With My Heart" with Asia's songbird Regine Velasquez on the "ASAP" stage.

Singing the song, released 35 years ago, with Velasquez felt like "visiting your old hometown," said Chan, regarded as the King of Philippine Christmas Carols.

"That's why when we were singing earlier, there were tears in my eyes. I was afraid that my voice would crack," he said. "As I get older I get more sentimental. How wonderful to be singing with Regine again." 

Velasquez in turn thanked Chan, saying "Please Be Careful With My Heart" is one of her first biggest hits.
